Presented annually at the NETHJA Year-End Banquet to celebrate sportsmanship and dedication.

Open to members, coaches, and officials. Self-nominations are permitted. Deadline: September 1.

Nominations are reviewed and voted upon by the NETHJA Committee of Coaches.

Joe Meuleman Outstanding Volunteer Award

Purpose & Eligibility

Recognizing an individual who has made significant contributions of time, energy, and leadership. Riding status is not required.

Key Criteria

  • Initiative and leadership in NETHJA activities
  • Positive impact on the organization
  • Spirit of teamwork and reliability

Youth Rider of the Year Award

Purpose & Eligibility

For riders under 18 who demonstrate excellence in horsemanship and sportsmanship throughout the NETHJA circuit.

Key Criteria

  • Sportsmanship in and out of the ring
  • Exceptional horse care and horsemanship
  • Respect for officials and fellow riders

Purpose & Eligibility

For amateur riders (18+) who contribute positively to the community while showing dedication to personal improvement.

Key Criteria

  • Support of fellow competitors
  • Commitment to safe riding and training
  • Consistent circuit participation
