Presented annually at the NETHJA Year-End Banquet to celebrate sportsmanship and dedication.
Nomination Process
Open to members, coaches, and officials. Self-nominations are permitted. Deadline: September 1.
Selection Process
Nominations are reviewed and voted upon by the NETHJA Committee of Coaches.

Purpose & Eligibility
Recognizing an individual who has made significant contributions of time, energy, and leadership. Riding status is not required.
Key Criteria
- Initiative and leadership in NETHJA activities
- Positive impact on the organization
- Spirit of teamwork and reliability
Junior Excellence

Youth Rider of the Year Award
Purpose & Eligibility
For riders under 18 who demonstrate excellence in horsemanship and sportsmanship throughout the NETHJA circuit.
Key Criteria
- Sportsmanship in and out of the ring
- Exceptional horse care and horsemanship
- Respect for officials and fellow riders

For amateur riders (18+) who contribute positively to the community while showing dedication to personal improvement.
